Texas offers some of the finest fly fishing opportunities available on the Gulf Coast; it's just a matter of sometimes travelling to the fish rather than always waiting for them to come to you. Different bays are notoriously known for outproducing others during certain months of the year and certain tide cycles, so why not travel an hour instead of searching unproductive water for a day? I do my best to stay as current as possible with the movements of species such as redfish, speckled trout, sheepshead, black drum, ladyfish and others so that come game day you're busy casting instead of watching the clock.
